School Programs


Our school programs are very flexible as we can accommodate the scheduling needs of each school. Our team provides hour-long classes once a week that are available before, during, or after traditional school hours.

In order to make sure that students receive the best education, we maintain a minimum of eight and maximum of twelve students for each class. When a school has more than twelve students interested in attending an Iron Rooks class, we provide additional instructors to run more classes. Those classes can be on different days of the week or on the same day, and are always held separately. Our collective believes it's very important to maintain or predefined student teacher ratios. They are designed specifically to increase individual attention for the students and ensure better lessons.

Team Coaches


Team coaches offer individual and group lesson, as well as a variety of exercises, worksheets, and game variants each specifically designed to improve serious chess play. Our team coaches are available for structured sessions or specific workshops.

Workshops can be scheduled as your chess club sees fit and include game analysis and lessons for each chess club member. A workshop can be regularly scheduled during your chess club's normal meetings or for special events [e.g. before a tournament or competition].

Private Coaches


Iron Rooks is prepared to teach chess to enthusiasts of all ages. A private coach can be assigned upon request and will adapt lessons to the individual's needs after analyzing their level of chess ability. For children, these private lessons are fun and are taught through games and puzzles. For adults, the lessons are direct and leading. Each private lesson is an hour long and is taught at the student's preferred location.
